Christmas Around the World Knitters Swap Qustions.


How long have you been knitting? Ca. 40 years on and off.
Would you consider yourself a Beginner, Intermediate or Advanced? Between Intermediate and Advanced.
Do you have any other hobbies besides knitting? Reading, felting and weaving.
Favorite color(s)? All shade of red, bordeaux, green.
Do you collect anything? Knitting magazines, lighthouses and candles.
Are you allergic to any fibers or animals? No.
Do you have any pets? Yes, cats, goldfishes ands cows.
Coffee, Tea, or Hot Chocolate? Yes.
Cookies or Sweets? Yes.
Do you knit socks? I have been knitting a few pair – not my favorite
If not socks then what? (tell us about your favorite knits) Pullovers, shawls, felted bags, baby gifts and kitchen stuffs.
Do you put up a Christmas tree? If not then what do you do? Yes.
Favorite holiday treats? Baking cookies and making Christmas stuff.
Favorite holiday smells? All spices.
Do you celebrate Christmas in a traditional or unconventional way? Fairly traditional.
Please elaborate. Family, presents, Santa Claus, too much food, etc.
What are your favorite holiday traditions? We are eating a gread of rice December the 23. and the rest goes to our small “nisser” who lives at our farm. Me and my family having dinner Christmas Eve, dancing around the Christmas Tree and have present the evening of the 24. December.

What was your favorite gift you've ever received? Or given? It is difficult because all the gift I received were given by love.
When do you start your Christmas? I start cooking and baking in November. But knitting gifts is starting in summer. The first advent is the real start of Christmas and the paper calendar and candles calendar.
Do you send Christmas cards? Do you make them or buy them? I buy and send Christmas cards.
What is your favorite Christmas dish? Nearly everything.
Carolers are at your door. What do you do? We do not have this tradition.
When do you open presents? Christmas eve or Christmas morning? Christmas Eve.
Do you celebrate with family or friends or both? Both
